Dungeon Master’s Guide: 5e review

The Dungeon Master's Guide for 5th edition was the first book I got for D&D. It was originally published in 2016 and has gone through a few updates since then (as seen in the credits page).

When I read it thoroughly the first time, I decided to do so again as I didn't understand much of the content presented within the book. Then the second time around it clicked, and whilst the worldbuilding stuff didn't really do anything besides provide a few generators (as I was already familiar with the concept of worldbuilding). However the optional rules for each plane of existence that was not the Prime Material Plane were amazing, I loved the "Shadowfell Despair" rule, though the optional rules for the Nine Hells and Abyss were in my opinion a bit bland as all they did were make creatures of opposite alignment evil or something like that. Though in some cases those rules may be useful as a pissed off DM and a bunch of annoying players.

THE ART:

The art was like all other 5e D&D books, incredible and full-color. The cover is a bit strange with Acererak being there and apparently raising an army of undead, though the art is decent. I love all the art throughout the rest of the book and I wish 5e artwork to stay the same.
